Soutiran Brut Nature Grand Cru NV | Ambonnay, Champagne

Purity and salinity. That is the promise of this Brut Nature, and Soutiran delivers it with the confidence of a family that has been farming Grand Cru vines in Ambonnay since 1954. No dosage. No correction. Just Champagne as it comes - the natural tension refined over years of aging in the cellar, with nothing added to soften the edges.

About the Producer Soutiran is a family grower-producer in Ambonnay, one of the most celebrated Grand Cru villages on the Montagne de Reims. Since 1954, the family has worked their own vines with a focus on precision and terroir. This cuvee is elaborated "a quatre mains" - by four hands - by V. Soutiran and P. Renaux, a collaboration that runs through every decision in the cellar.

Winemaking A blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, both sourced exclusively from Grand Cru parcels. The base harvest is 2020, complemented by 35% reserve wines from 2013 to 2018 for depth and continuity. Bottled in June 2021 and disgorged in 2025/2026 after extended aging on lees. Zero dosage - the wine is released exactly as it is.

A note on sweetness Brut Nature: 0 g/l. No dosage added. The purest expression of the grape and terroir, with nothing to mask and nowhere to hide.

Country: France | Region: Ambonnay, Champagne | Grapes: 55% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay | Style: Brut Nature | Classification: Grand Cru

Tasting Note The nose opens with brioche, honey and fresh almonds - generous and inviting. The Pinot Noir takes over on the palate, giving structure and mouthfeel, before a long salty tension closes the finish. Precise, mineral, and deeply satisfying. Rated 94 by Winescritic.com, 93 by James Suckling and Dusser-Gerbert, 92 by Wine Enthusiast, and 16.5 by Gault et Millau.

Primary Flavors: Brioche, honey, fresh almonds, mineral, sea salt

Food Pairing: Oysters, sea urchin, grilled turbot, aged Comté, caviar

Fun Fact: "Elaboré a quatre mains" means made by four hands - a nod to the genuine partnership behind every bottle, where two people share equal responsibility for every decision from vine to cork.
